NAURU
With the President's death, nobody is running the country maybe. I think I should. I'd be great for the job actually.
After the way the US has treated Nauru recently (cutting them off from the US financial system) it is surprising we are springing for a Air Force jet to ship his body back to bankrupt Nauru. I bet we charge them.

I think Osama is in Karachi because if I were him that'd be where I'd be. Any thoughts?

I can't believe this Iraq-Terrorism link is seriously being put forward for as a reason for invasion. Apart from a few goons way up north (and its real tenuous that its an alqaida base at all), and ONE member of A.Q. getting medical treatment does not make Iraq a sponsor of terrorism. In the 70s and 80s they DID give cover to PLO terrorists but we were all friends then. And the reach of the Bush family was thankfully more limited.
Notice CITIZENS here who are in favor of war seem to live a) in the south, and b) ALWAYS in remote, no destructible tiny towns. I call these hicks cowards.
"3,000 missiles sent to Iraq in the first 48 hours" - White House. THAT'S what the Iraqi people need for their "liberty" that we're fighting for.
Hans Blix finds pair of roller skates in Tikrit that could be driven 150 miles and deliver small WMD.
Oh that's right, we're PROTECTING Iraqi minorities from ethnic cleansing. Well we're 20-30 years too late actually, and sending weapons to Iraq in the 80s can't have helped the situation.
And everybody who disagrees with us hammering Iraq is wrongheaded, pro-Hussein, or just the enemy. Apart from the UK/Airstrip One (for what reasons I can't understand), Israel (well...), and Bulgaria (heavily bribed) almost nobody is FOR this war except...and this is a good one - AUSTRALIA. ohhhh MATE! Ah, there's my homeland with its retarded foreign policy. "England is at war therefor Australia is at war" was the line my terminally dumb compatriots bought in the FIRST WORLD WAR and then the European (not Asian!) theater of WWII. And Korea and Vietnam didn't teach us anything? So along with Guinea Bissau and maybe Surinam, Australia can be part of the “Coalition of the Willing” – I love that term.
Now there's talk of giving Iran some problems about their nuclear (or as out commander in chief says Nu-cue-lar) power plants. I think the Ayatollahs know what Israel's response would be were they to attack Israel (and rightly so) but are we to declare war on anybody who faces Mecca who wants nuclear power? Does this ever END? Is Algeria next? Perhaps we could bring out our old favorite Libya. Syria thinks it is next, Yemen is nervous. WE'RE STARTING TO BEHAVE LIKE THE DAMN SOVIETS.
Oh ROLL on, election time. I'm giving out "how to vote democrat" fliers this time. We can't let this madness continue.

ABSENCE NOTIFICATION
I will be in Australia and NZ from this Monday 12th to April 4th. I will be checking my mail occasionally but don't expect immediate replies and you'll be spared my left wing, libertarian anti Bush ramblings.
If you run into the attorney general while I'm away the stake must go through the HEART, not just the chest.
I must be careful while I’m there, they are having a wild kangaroo attack season. Every 7-10 years the 'roos become ultra aggressive and attack on sight, even in the big cities, so I'll have to watch out.

ps This is an amusing website if you have some time.
There's a Newsweek article on racism in Japan if you read Japanese.
David Debito at debito.org is a naturalized Japanese who is constantly causing trouble about racism there. Japan is not an overly racist society and is changing for the better but its far from a paradise for foreigners. But their biggest problem is the fact that
the population is so gray and not replacing itself so they’re going to need a LOT of immigration if their country isn’t to be turned into a giant old age home followed by an uninhabited wasteland.
I have almost no interest in celebrities unless they were a member of the Beatles or a spouse thereof. One story has captured my attention though. Robert Blake. Now I don't think he had her killed or killed her himself, but have you read or heard anything about the
decedent here? She's been scamming lonely men and entrapping people, leaving men at the alter, and generally being an UTTER asshole for the past 50 years. Bonnie Bakley is the most horrid, utterly unethical, morally bankrupt bitch I have ever heard of. Her loss is a gain to the world and I think her past conduct in itself gives rise to MORE than reasonable doubt when it comes to Robert Blake. There are hundreds if not thousands of people, mainly men out there who would have very good reasons if not to kill her in most cases, certainly to do her some harm.
The kind of men she entrapped, taunted or ripped off are not the kind of people I'd cross if I could avoid it - for my own safety. This plus the shaky case they have on Blake to my mind set him absolutely free.
The war in Iraq has sort of started already if you notice the number of sorties and bombing missions to Iraq. It is a sad state of affairs that to routinely hammer a country is not described as an act of war. What's it called, an appetizer?
They say they're "close" to finding Bin Laden but I doubt it. It won't stop the war on terror because as Orwell said "Eastasia is constantly at war with Eurasia, and will always be at war with Eurasia." War is Peace, Freedom is Slavery, Room 101 for you babe.
